There are various international volunteer groups in Sendai, but at SIRA we foster the following volunteer activities:
Support Volunteers
These volunteers provide support for activities at Sendai International Center and are also involved in PR activities
Japanese Language Volunteers
SIRA has registered volunteers who have completed Japanese teacher training courses to run one on one Japanese lessons.
Homestay Volunteers
Disaster Multilingual Support Volunteers
Sendai City recruit and train multilingual volunteers to support foreign residents in the event of a large-scale disaster.
